The research vessels Laurence M. Gould and Nathaniel B. Palmer complete a joint port call at Palmer Station, located on Anvers Island. The Gould, left, makes frequent science and logistics stops at Palmer Station to support year-round station operations, while the Palmer conducts longer expedition, often farther afield around the continent.
